A Honda-sponsored project at College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit has produced this concept S2000 for the year 2020

Student designers at CCS were asked to come up with design proposals for an all-new S2000 for the year 2020. This design was developed by Michael Mcgee;  he took inspiration from remote control cars, which tend to have exaggerated lines and more simplistic components. The design also incorporates a modular construction which allows different body panels to be easily changed to suit different tastes or needs.

We have 2 vacancies on the Club Committee of S2KUK.

Rather than these being general committee positions we have defined specific roles.  The 2 roles open are:

National Events Co-ordinator

This will involve co-ordinating meets and events across the regions and communicating with regional event organisers and keeping the calendar up to date.  Allocating budgets to S2KUK supported events, distribution of club flags & banners and introduction of big events for the club to attend.  Ideally the person would also be active on the S2KI Forum.

Honda, Dealers and Discounts Co-ordinator

This will involve engaging with Honda (UK) on various subjects, recruitment of dealers and suppliers to the discount scheme, and keeping the discounts up to date.  

Interested?

If you'd like to put yourself forward for either of these roles, you will need to propose yourself, and you will also need someone to second you.  Once all proposals are in, appointment would be by a club members' vote.  You can do this by emailing via the Contact Form using the Contact Committee option from the drop down menu.

Both roles are voluntary and will take up a little of your own time, however it will not be onerous.

Other help

We are also keen to have more regional event organisers and we are looking for people who are willing to help as content creators (news writers) to help with articles for the front page of the website.
