Our beloved Honda S2000 has won a vote on the world's best instrument cluster by carthrottle.com.  Getting 22% of the vote, up against some other awe inspiring clusters such as Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Koenigsegg and even Knight Rider's "Kitt"!

Fifth Gear are filming a used car guide and wish to feature a Honda S2000 as a great sports car that can be picked up today.

They are looking to find a great example S2000 that can be picked up for about £5-7k.

If any members might be interested to have their car filmed for the day and included in the feature please see below:

Filming is on Tuesday 7^th May at Ramp & Wrench in Coventry – CV4 7BB

Filming takes place from 8am until about 6pm and we will cover fuel expenses and lunch for the day and even a hotel the night before if anyone is traveling more than 2 hours away.

The presenter will be Tiff Needell, he will also take the car for a short drive whilst it's filmed inside and out.

Please rest assured that we are feature the S2000 as an ultimate car to buy and everything is extremely positive towards the car. We will not be track testing or driving the cars hard in anyway.

As the snow has hit most of the country here's a few tips for the S2000 in the snow.  You may be surprised that used correctly the S can actually be driveable and safe and fun in the snow.  

Feel free to comment with your own tips or tricks!

Driving:

• High gear, low revs
• Don't spin your wheels if you get stuck
• Steady on the power, especially in corners
• Brake gently
• Top down!

Better Boots!

Winter tyres make all the difference - lots of people recommend Kumho Izen winter tyres, which are available in both 16" and 17" (Check out our tyre suppliers who offer discounts, especially those that could come to you in this weather!)  They offer much better grip in very wet and snow conditions.  Others have had good experience with Bridgestone Blizzaks too.

Snow Socks

These have proven very good in snow, but as soon as you are off the snow they need to be removed or they will get ripped up on tarmac.  They are tricky to put on and off due to the small clearance between tyre and car.  Here's our Irish friend Spike with a demo!
