DIY Screwfix Hardtop Stand 40 Quid in 40 Minutes!
Most of us with a GT are probably thinking about putting the hardtop back on the car for winter. But whilst it is on the car here is a brilliant DIY hardtop stand that can be put together for about £40 in about 40 minutes!
Instructions are below - if you build one, please comment and let us know how you got on!
Thanks go to our new member, Kevin Cooper, for this story.
The items you need from Screwfix are these:
Peice the parts together to make this - note the measurements in inches:
The hardtop stand sits as pictured below!
Good luck!

Is the 26.5" dimension the FULL width between and including the two 40" vertical members or just the width between the two steeply angled 42" down-comers??
Cheers,

All the way across, Mike :-)

Kevin,
Great idea, I built my own using your dimensions. I didn't use the same materials as I was able to "aquire" something similar in steel from my workplace. Just needed to cover with the insulation and away we went. I originaly fitted wheels but thought better of it as I pulled it along my bumpy driveway (too risky)
£6:00 done!Thanks for sharing.
