LONDON S2000 SUMMER MEET @ ACE CAFE. Sunday 8th May - 6pm - 10.30pm

So here it is, the next one you've been waiting for. 

We are proud to announce the first of this year's S2KUK summer meet at the iconic Ace Cafe.

This event is FREE.

Date: 8th May 
Time: 6pm - 10:30pm

The car park will hold 50 cars, S2000s will be given priority. As you will know by now, you need to sign up EARLY to avoid disappointment.

There will be food, drink and good company. The weather should be glorious and the convoys will be fun.

There will be prizes, and also more trophies being awarded for the following categories:

BEST MODIFIED CAR
MOST CLEAN AND SHINY CAR
BEST STANDARD CAR
DIRTIEST CAR

CAR OF THE SHOW

PLEASE support us by coming along and showing off your pride and joy be it standard, modified, stanced, hellaflushed, the lot.

As this is a good location, we would like to invite members, and new owners of S2000's from all over the UK to attend. 

Please note that Ace Cafe London will not tolerate dangerous or anti-social driving and vehicles seen driving on the road in such a manner outside the cafe or its local environs will be reported to the authorities. 
Please also be aware not to bring any food or drink on to the premises (to include the car park!); The kitchen is open from 7am to 10pm (9.30pm on Sunday) daily to keep patrons fed and the bar is open until 11pm (10.30pm on Sunday) for drinks - the place only works with your support.

This may be free to attend but you're only allowed in if you're on the list.

Do not sign up unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure you can attend. No maybes.

In order to guarantee rooms in our allocated hotel for Megameet 13 we must confirm numbers with the hotel by APRIL 28th.  YES this is a long time in advance, but it is the only way the hotel will hold definite rooms for us without risking a hefty deposit.   

So to guarantee yourself a room PLEASE REGISTER BEFORE 28th APRIL!!

(If hotel rooms do run out, then there are other nearby places, but it is better not having to faff about!)

We will be visiting in and around the Forest of Bowland - area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Western Yorkshire Dales. Lots of great roads and photo opportunities.

August Bank holiday saw the third year in a row that the club attended the Dunsfold Wings and Wheels event in Surrey. This two day celebration of motoring and aviation gets bigger every year and is held where Top Gear is (was?!) filmed.

The weekend began on Saturday when Rob Wadrop (Rob-BPA) was selected by the Brooklands Museum to participate in the runway motoring display. Despite the rain coming in during the afternoon he was able to achieve a respectable 130mph down the 1.2km course; narrowly missing the record of 133 set the previous year.

On the Sunday the rain finally stopped and 13 cars headed to the airfield to display their cars on the club stand in the Wheels Zone. On arrival Paul F had an idea to position ourselves in a ‘V’ shape in honour of the Vulcan bomber that was due to display that day as part of her last season in the air. What we didn’t expect was that we would win the “Car Club of the Year” trophy as a result, especially with the effort and expense some other clubs had gone to. What made it more special was the Mazda MX5 Drivers club on the next stand coming second. A little karma for the commentator describing our cars as MX5s on the previous years drive past perhaps!!
