We are delighted that we have been successful in our application for an exclusive club stand at CarFest South 2015, A dream of cars, music, food and masses of family fun - a dream conjured up by Chris Evans and brought to life in Hampshire.

CarFest South is from 28th August to 30th August at Laverstoke Park Farm, Berkshire.

Do you want to show your car on our EXCLUSIVE STAND?

HERE'S THE DEAL:

• To display your car AND including 2 entry to Carfest all weekend (via wristbands given out each day at the event), will be only £250 per car for the whole weekend.
• The same thing (which is sold out! direct from CarFest) without being able to show your car on our stand is over £300

This is an absolute bargain! It doesn't cover the club's costs, but we are subsidising this event, and there are a few requirements of display cars which does reduce flexibility (but talk to us, there may be some let up!):

They would prefer cars to arrive on the stand on the Thursday, and stay there until the Sunday 6pm. (There was flexibility last year, some cars came in and out daily, or if you camp on site, there are 24hr security patrols). Some went first thing Friday, but they do want cars to be parked up and all in before about 8am otherwise traffic is mayhem!

Once everyone got through the traffic, we pretty much had a full house, 50 s2000s.

It was a fantastic event, with weather to die for and gorgeous cars too. Thank you to everyone who came from all over the UK and in one gentlemans case, Japan?

Highlights from the meet include the resurgence of Hendy Simon's S2000 which is back on home soil and looking very well. There were hardly any dirty cars and talking of which, it was lovely to see Floppy return with his newly acquired S2000 and his little companion too. We finally got to see Phil's Spoon S2000 after the unfortunate crash a very long time ago and it is indeed a very different beast now.

Awards on the night:

Best in show - 4x4 Freak for his amazing spoon cladded S2000 which was simply the best car there.
Cleanest Car - Sombra for his spotless berlina black S2K
Filthiest Car - Floppy - shame on you Alex!
Best Modified - Masamichi-san for his moonrock S2000 which was beautifully and cleverly modified
Best Standard - SZ0005 - Lovely example of a standard moonrock s2000

Kim was also awarded the best ace cafe organiser of the year by Soupdragon and Tinyclanger

Next year will see some improvements, starting with a megaphone and of course better event sponsors.

Coverage of the night was by Chris Presley and there is a chance that we might be featured in Banzai Magazine again.

CarFest North is from 28th July to 2nd August at Oulton Park, Chershie.

CarFest South is from 28th August to 30th August at Laverstoke Park Farm, Overton, Hampshire.

Do you want to show your car on our EXCLUSIVE STAND?

Our stands at both events have only 5 spaces per day for showcars, so we are going to ask for applications to display your cars at the event.  As such we would like to invite all members to send their application in, with up to 3 photos of your car and a description of why you think your car should be on show.  You must be state which of the 2 events you can attend and which days.  You will have to pay for tickets, however the club will subsidise and provide 2 weekend tickets per car as a showcar on the stand.
