The provisional dates for 2019 are 26-28 July. These will be confirmed in early December when the FIA meet to rubber stamp the F1 2019 calendar.

We can't wait to see you next summer for another awesome Silverstone classic, for the 20th anniversary of the Honda S2000!   We had a blast at 2018's Silverstone Classic with over 50 cars in attendence, and hopw we can break our attendence record again in 2019!

We HIGHLY recommend getting the 3 day weekend tickets - and at only £99 (for 2 with our 2-for-1 code) is astonishing value for this unmissible event of the year!

Here's a review of 2018's event:

MEET REPORT: Wirral Pub Meet #3

Sorry, this pic won't be going into the photo competition!  But here is the report from the most recent Wirral Pub meet!

Well who would have guessed we’ve had 3 Wirral meets with six attendees but not all at one meet. It’s fantastic that from one simple email and post on the club website I have met some really nice people. When I arrived on Thursday I was surprised to see an S2000 already there, it was black so I immediately thought it was Steve’s but when I walked into the pub Steve was nowhere to be seen. I should have remembered Colin who works shifts mentioned he could come to this September meet. Steve arrived and I realised that Colin was already sat and ready to get started. Welcome Colin really glad you made it. We sat and started talking, it’s so easy when you are sat with like minded people!  Another S2000 arrived in the car park! Jason was welcomed to the fold our meet was complete.

We had lively talk about S2000’s hoods, driving abroad, Jason not having his car for very many weeks had never driven it in the dark, hope you got home ok?

Let's try and get everyone together for the next one! This Thursday 11th October  See you there!

MEET REPORT: Wirral Pub Meet

We've had 2 evening meets at The Cottage Loaf so far, and it looks like it's definitely going to become a regular occurrance with some very friendly faces, lots of knowledge and plans to drive out being formed!  Come along to the next on Thursday 13th September!

Here is Jan's write up of August's get together..

Well Wirral Meet number 2 went ahead!  The Blue and Black cars were joined by a Silverstone that belonged to Trev who brought his wife Lyn.   The weather meant that tops were down, and not only was Trev’s down but he proudly showed off his tonneau cover!  I’ve got one of those but I need someone who can refurbish interiors locally.  Anyone know of someone?
Back to the meet.  Trev and Lyn have family who live ‘locally’ on Wirral they drove from Preston to do some catching up.  Trev has owned his car for 15 years, , me 9 years, and Steve just a baby, less than one year.
Steve, Ann and I had some food, which was very good I might add, and a soft drink due to the constraints of drinking alcohol and driving.  We discussed the Megameet and managed to persuade Steve to come.   Steve and I discussed driving the Evo Triangle, never heard of it until Joao mentioned it so we drove it on the following Sunday.  We found out that both of us had driven the roads before, still a cracking drive though!
We said our farewells about 9.30 and off we all drove waving goodbye and a promise to meet there again in September except for Trev and Lyn who won’t be here, shame, but it is just a couple of weeks before the Megameet.
Thanks for reading, and if you are in the area in September (13th), please pop along it would be lovely to see you!

MEET REPORT: Ace Café Season Finale

With a full attendance list, we were expecting an epic finale and it didn’t disappoint!  An overflowing car park with 52 cars in attendance, there was an awesome variety of S2000s.  Amazingly clean standard cars, our bagged kids on air-ride, visitors from the north west, Italy and the Netherlands, an Edition 100, two Monza Pearl Red, some really stunning custom paint jobs, and some really beautiful heavily modified cars.

We left the voting up to attendees this time around - there were a couple of tight calls and a couple of clear winners with the club picking best overall car of the night.  Massive congratulations to our winners but a special shout out to Mantas, our best in show with his drift monster. He’s put a lot of work into transforming his car and it shows in the quality of his build.

Our Ace Café meets are always a firm favourite in the calendar and will be back next May but also watch this space for a new more Northern alternative in 2019 and some very ambitious plans!!  We will need someone's help in the Northwest, so if you're up for it, get in touch!

MEET REPORT: Northern Ireland Meet & Drive

With a Bank Holiday weekend it was the perfect opportunity to organise an S2000 driving meet. As usual there was great enthusiasm within the group no matter the age. 12 cars in attendance with 13 owners. Most were NI owners but others also journeyed from NE England, Donegal and  2 members from Cork and Limerick making the 5 hour drive north! Ages ranging from 25-70. Starting just north of Belfast it was a 2 night/3 day weekend based in Coleraine on the North coast of Northern Ireland.

The Friday drive took in the famous Causeway Coastal route. A fantastic driving road with a great mix of twisties up into the Glens to enjoy our car’s driving ability. Instead of the normal 60-70 mile distance, our day was 140 miles! The route took in some viewpoints, most notably Mount Slemish where St Patrick (a Welshman) tended sheep and various hillclimbs along the way. The quiet nature of the roads involved made for some great driving. The mix of photo and coffee stops allowed for the usual social aspect which is as big a part of these meets.

The Saturday drive left Coleraine and headed further north. Stopping at Gortmore viewing point overlooking Foyle Lough and Donegal. The plan was to do Eagles Rock hillclimb up Binevenagh mountain in the morning, alas our date coincided with the actual event. They were keen to enter us all in the event! Again very quiet roads with staggering views. After coffee we headed for Ramelton in Donegal. Our ultimate venue being the famous Knockalla rally stage which overlooks Ballymastocker beach near Portsalon. In fairness Donegal is loaded with a great mix of very secluded roads and beaches but too many for today’s drive. Very much on the to do list. If you ever visit Donegal make sure Knockalla is on your bucket list, it’s an awesome piece of tarmac to enjoy driving an S on! The scenic views are an added bonus, but you’ll be too busy driving!

The evenings involved too much fine dining which is as much part of the weekend. (The odd refreshment is taken too). The craic and banter is ongoing all weekend. After breakfast on Sunday morning all the goodbyes were said and everyone started their journeys homeward. What was very evident was the enthusiasm for the next time we organise one of these weekends. Several are off to Megameet in Cumbria next month, and are already looking forward to that.

A great word of thanks to all that attended for making it such an enjoyable meet on all levels. Everyone left loving their S even more than before the weekend. If you’ve never attended an S2KUK event, get along to one no matter what it is and enjoy what Honda gave us to enjoy

MEET REPORT: Dunsfold Wings & Wheels 2018

The club has been absent from this event for a few years now but in 2018 we decided to return.  It's set over 2 days on the summer Bank Holiday weekend at this historic airfield in the heart of Surrey, home to Top Gear and the iconic Harrier jump jet.  It combines a large classic car show with amazing action in the sky from a variety of historic aircraft.

Twelve S2000s were on display on the Saturday and we were blessed with some long spells of sunshine to watch the packed flying schedule and to just kick back and enjoy a great opportunity to socialise with other club members.  We were fortunate to have two Red, two Blue and a pair of white GT100s which we put to the front in salute of the RAF's Red Arrows display team, although we weren't sure if they noticed as they executed their breathtaking flying display above our heads.  As usual, our cars created a huge interest from the show visitors, and we were able to chat for much of the day with current and past owners, as well as the surprising number of pure S2000 enthusiasts.   As a bonus we even had four cars on the crowd line display.

Sadly, Dunsfold is set to disappear under a major housing development soon so it's not clear whether we'll be back again next year. If not we'll be finding another major show to match it!
